A few days ago, the coordinators of the "HOPE 2022 ROUMELI" action contacted us, volunteering to contribute to the progress of the Pindus trail, a project under construction since 2018 .
It was with pleasure that we received them in the west of Vardousia, ready for action! More than 100 young souls hiked the Pindus Trail, from the Artotina square to Lakko, high in the Artotina meadows. The path is now just before the final stage of shaping and waymarking, however, the crossing is relatively comfortable and absolutely clear, due to the preparatory work that has been done since last year and the improvements made these days.
21 boy scouts worked with us and gave their best in shaping a short part of the trail, but also in the morale of all of us and for that we thank them very much for their participation! The rest of the group offered help in other areas within the settlement, bringing a happy note to the village!
Their final goal was to camp overnight in Lakko, under the imposing landscape of the Vardousia and continue crossing the mountain in an easterly direction. In Roumeli these days there are approximately 1,200 scouts mainly from Greece for the action "HOPE 2022 ROUMELI"
